Start up branding and launch for real estate brand Hedge

HEDGE is a start up in the Commercial Real Estate market, formed by four experienced CRE agents who have previously headed successful, but more traditional, agencies. The passionate and energetic team wanted to shake up the conservative market and offer something fresh to clients, better connecting landlords to tenants, and needed a brand positioning and identity that would help them do that.

Launching a new brand into the world of Commercial Real Estate.

What’s in a name - why Hedge?

Unlike a fence or wall - a barrier between spaces -  a hedge is a thriving ecosystem, that can add value to the spaces it sits between. That’s exactly why we helped to choose it.

Part of what helped the new business get noticed was it’s unusual name. It also helped start many a conversation.

Hedge’s logo sits at the centre, quite literally, of the visual identity.

It’s not often we devise a brand logo that runs vertically, you might argue it makes it harder to apply. This kind of alternative approach was exactly what Hedge were all about. The vertical design of the marque and its unswerving position not only has confidence and staying power, but more importantly marks out their place at the centre of market.

The confident central position was adopted in the design of their website as well as in branded presentation design and corporate stationary, ensuring nobody missed what they were called, or what they stood for.

Helping them tell their story

The founders of Hedge were struggling to clearly and concisely articulate their unique offer to their clients (and ecen their families!), so knowing that motion can have better engagement and connection than words alone, we worked with them to create a brand film that could do this job for them.

Our resulting launch animation was played out to open their swanky launch party and went on to be used to explain the business in new client presentations.
