Naming, strategy, logo and bespoke pattern for Real Drinks
Taking a growing retail business to the next level.
Real Ale was a thriving business selling craft beers and natural wines through its boutique retail stores and supply to M&S of exclusive own label beers. The only catch was that it didn’t really sell real ale any more…
The brand needed a new name, brand positioning and updated look to help drive its offering and ambitious growth plans.
We worked closely with the core team, as well as Campfire Collective, to help them make this move.
A distintive new marque
With a new name and defined communication strategy, we developed a bright modern brand taking forward the bold pink and black they had become known for since 2005 but encapsulating it in a distinctive marque and brand assets that work across all platforms and gives the flexibility needed as the company expands into new areas of the universe of drinks.

From t-shirts to store fronts
At our first meeting for the project, the co-founder was keen to stress how important the staff t-shirts would be as an outcome. Not. the place we usually start our thinking, however, we got it - this brand had to live and breath outside of digital spaces and in the very real world of craft drinks retail and to do so it had to look the part.
Bespoke branded patterns and the unique and robust marque helped to do this.
